Damian Lillard wants to beat the Warriors, not join them
The Trail Blazers star tweeted he has no interest in playing for Golden State.

On Twitter, the Portland Trail Blazers point guard responded to a fan who asked him to become the Warriors’ sixth man, and his answer was pretty clear:
So why doesn’t Lillard want to head home to Oakland, where he grew up?
The most obvious reason is that he’s probably still a little heated about losing to the Warriors in the playoffs — even after claiming the Trail Blazers would win the series.
But there’s also the fact that he’s just too busy! After all, Lillard has not just one, but TWO jobs — he’s a point guard AND a rapper who released an album this year. Between practice and studio sessions, he probably just doesn’t have time to move to a new city and win a championship with the best team in the NBA.
So for now, Lillard seems perfectly content to stay in Portland and get ready to take on Golden State again next year — and maybe make a few bangers in the process.
