Here is the greatest photo ever of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are teammates once again, this time in Cleveland, after Wade agreed to a buyout from the Bulls. He’ll take the veteran’s minimum to play with LeBron next season at $2.3 million. LeBron and Wade have been apart since 2014 when James left Miami but the best-friend duo is back together again and this is my excuse to bring up my favorite basketball photo of all time.

The play happened so quickly in real time. But this photo freezes the moment and immortalizes the confidence and cockiness this Miami Heat team played with. They were celebrating plays before they finished and being “Super Villains” long before the current Warriors ever could. The photo is perfect. No one throws down that soaring tomahawk dunk like LeBron and no one walks around the court quite as smug as Dwyane Wade.

There is an alternate reality where the photo below is the only version we ever saw. Yes, LeBron is quite literally flying here but we can’t appreciate D-Wade from this angle. Can you imagine the hole in our hearts that would exist if this is all we ever knew? The feeling we were always missing out on something greater.

LeBron and D-Wade being teammates again is going to provide is so much content all season long. They’re back and the NBA will be better off for it. Looks like LeBron has replaced his “work friend” with his best friend.
