James Harden’s 60-point triple-double made NBA history

James Harden made NBA history with the first 60-point triple-double ever! He had 60 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, and folks, he’s making a serious run for MVP. Harden’s big night made for a 114-107 win over the Magic on Tuesday night in a game without Trevor Ariza, Chris Paul and only 10 minutes of Eric Gordon.

Harden is undeniably one of, if not the, best scorer in the league. His 60 points came on 19-of-30 shooting, including 17-of-18 from the free throw line. Five makes came from three-point range out of 14, and he had four steals. He only turned the ball over five times.

His point total also set a new Houston Rockets as well, surpassing Calvin Murphy’s 57.

It’s time to put James Harden atop the MVP race again.
