LeBron James’ all-star team might be cursed

Three players have already gone down to injuries.

For the first time ever, the NBA let its top vote-getters draft their own teams for the all-star game. That meant LeBron James and Steph Curry selected their own squads to shake-up the traditional festivities.

Here’s how those teams turned out:

Most of Twitter favored James’ team of star bigs. But, uh, the last few days have been problematic for his team. The past five days have taken THREE of his future teammates from him, while Curry’s team (knock on wood) remains healthy.

DeMarcus Cousins was first

On Saturday, DeMarcus Cousins tore his Achilles in heartbreaking fashion just as the Pelicans were starting to put it all together. That stripped the Pels of their center and Team LeBron of one of its starters.

John Wall was next

Then on Tuesday, the Wizards announced John Wall would miss time for knee surgery.

And then Kevin Love went down

That same night, Kevin Love broke his arm and will be out for six-to-eight weeks, per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. Two more Team LeBron players down!

The team was already issued two replacements, Paul George and Andre Drummond, and will receive one for Love.

But watch out. This team may be cursed!
