LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball are officially professional basketball players. The Ball brothers made their debut in Lithuania on Tuesday to the type of fanfare we’ve come to expect from basketball’s most infamous family.

The Ball brothers suited up for BC Vytautas against BC Žalgiris in the Big Baller Brand Challenge. This is not a joke. Both LaMelo (10 points) and LiAngelo (19 points) had their moments. LiAngelo showed off his long-range shooting ability, while LaMelo hit some impressive shots and threw some nice passes.

The Ball brothers got a win in their first game, as Vytautas took home a 90-80 victory. Here’s what we saw during the Ball brothers debut.

The Big Baller Brand logo was everywhere

Say what you will about LaVar Ball, but the man knows how to get his name and his brand out there. This wasn’t a league game between two Lithuanian teams, it was a special event with Big Baller Brand plastered around the arena.

Even the refs were wearing Big Baller Brand shirts:

LaMelo Ball flashed his talent at times

LaMelo Ball is a legit prospect. He was rated as a top 10 player in the class of 2019 before turning pro, with a verbal agreement to play for UCLA. Ball’s college eligibility is over now, but he’s still an intriguing long-term prospect.

Here’s LaMelo dropping a sweet behind-the-back pass in transition:

LaMelo also struggled at times. Here’s his very first shot as a pro, pulling up from Steph Curry range and clanking the shot off the rim:

LaMelo Ball plays a high-risk, high-reward game. That’s part of the reason he already has such an immense following. He does have some real skills, though:

LaMelo finished with 10 points.

LiAngelo Ball missed a wide open layup

That’s the play that was being passed around the internet all afternoon, but the elder Ball brother also had some quality moments. He hit a three in the first half and connected with LaMelo for a nice give-and-go in the second half.

LiAngelo started this game while LaMelo came off the bench. He is not considered the same type of long-term prospect as his younger brother, but he can still do some things on the court.

LiAngelo finished with 19 points.

Of course he was.

It was good to see LaVar’s wife, Tina Ball, also in attendance. Tina Ball has been battling health problems since last March. The family posed for a photo before the game:
