NBA scores 2018: The Rockets are out of this world, and 5 other things from Saturday

The Rockets drubbed the Cavs by 32.

The Rockets rolled over the Cavaliers, put the car in reverse, revved the engine then floored it over Cleveland once again, leading by as much as 35 in a 120-88 win on Saturday night. The scariest part? Houston didn’t even have Eric Gordon or Trevor Ariza.

Six Rockets players scored in double figures, led by Chris Paul’s 22 points, 11 assists (to ZERO turnovers), and eight rebounds. Houston drained 19 of 51 three-pointers, and on a night where James Harden scored only 16 points on nine percent shooting from three, the Rockets fired away on all cylinders. Hell, even Markel Brown got some PT.

Houston is really good. And not just Western Conference contenders good — the Rockets are right in the mix of things for an NBA championship. They’ve won 11 of their last 13 games and aren’t showing any signs of slowing down soon.

The Wizards are 4-0 since John Wall’s injury

And here’s what Bradley Beal had to say about their streak:

“With John being out, it’s even more of a challenge for us, but we accept it head on,” Beal said, via the Associated Press. “We weren’t playing our style of basketball early in the season and over the course of the last four games, we’ve figured it out. We’re moving the ball and playing really well.”

How bad are the Cavaliers?

At least Cleveland’s not firing its head coach.

Ricky Rubio did what?

And Jimmy Butler definitely wasn’t taking more than three questions

Happy Sunday!
