The B-Sides: Dwyane Wade is so stinking happy to be home and 6 more reasons to love the NBA this week

You’re going to be shocked to hear this, but the NBA gave us another ridiculous week. Contrary to popular belief, we are actually past the halfway point of the season and the Cavaliers traded half of their team away yesterday! Just another classic trade deadline day provided to you by none other than the National Basketball Association.

It was a big week, but let’s just go ahead and get to the point here. Like his best friend did once before, Dwyane Wade is leaving Cleveland and taking his talents to South Beach.

1. Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are so stinking happy to be home

The Cavaliers did Wade a huge solid yesterday. They let Wade know his playing time would be reduced after the Cavaliers overhauled their roster. They gave him the chance to go home to Miami and he absolutely took it.

Step one. Look how happy Wade is getting on this jet:

Step two. Watch Gabrielle Union dance as soon as she gets off the plane:

Happy endings forever.

2. Miami is so happy too!

And this fan! It’s all incredible.

3. Wade also surprised his son earlier in Miami this week

Wade’s sons are still attending school in Miami, so obviously his son celebrated his 16th birthday there with his friends. This one was going in B-Sides before Wade was ever traded back home, and now it’s even more perfect to see that his entire family will be back together. Make sure you watch long enough to see Zaire’s reaction to seeing his Dad:

4. Giannis saw a fan wearing a BBB hoodie, so he replaced it with the shirt off his back

This kid now has a Greek Freak hoodie which I personally believe is way better. Shoutout to the kid in the back who said, “Take that Big Baller Brand off!”

5. Kyle Lowry looking happy as ever in his Super Bowl gear

Philly native Kyle Lowry attended the Super Bowl to see the Eagles win in Minneapolis and then got back to Toronto for practice the next morning. With his championship gear on obviously:

6. This perfect photo of Pau Gasol and Ricky Rubio

Rubio had a career night against the Spurs with 34 points and nine assists but the real win is this picture of Pau and Ricky after the game. Followed by Pau’s incredibly Pau caption.

7. Larry Nance Jr. wore his dad on his shirt

This was already going in B-Sides ahead of the trade deadline which is a little eery given the Lakers captioned it “Like father, like son” and then traded Nance to his hometown of Akron and also to the team where his dad was a legend.

Nance was close to “tears of joy” when he got the trade call. So much good news!

My favorite James Harden Photo of the Week

I love this photo because in my imagination they are dancing like Jack and Rose did in that scene from Titantic.

Like this, ya know.

See ya next week, friends. Tweet me your B-Sides, and I’ll include them in the next round.
