The Raptors had to bring out a damn level during the game because the rim was crooked

Well, this is a first. During the third quarter of Raptors-Nets on Friday night, the game came to a complete stop because the rim was crooked. Yes, that is what I said: the rim was crooked. The arena was forced to bring out a ladder and a level and to sort it all out. Let’s take a look at what happened:

You can see the left side is clearly below the right side as we’re staring straight at it. I think it’s enough to warrant a check.

The fans went nuts for the ladder like it was something on WWE.

I want to be clear I have full confidence in this guy who was tasked to fix this. I just cannot stop laughing at the following events

Level Guy: “It says 1.1”

Someone on the court: “What’s that mean?”

Level Guy: yanks the hell out of the rim because it obviously meant it was crooked

You know, I just assumed there would be a tool to fix this so I was completely shocked when he used all of his force to adjust the rim.

Kyle Lowry is being a responsible NBA player while the referee just laughs.

The level has been on and off the rim at least three times at this point while Kyle Lowry is directing traffic like the All-Star point guard he is.

We’ve come to an agreement at this point that the rim is level but Lowry needs there to be a quality assurance check.

But Siakam does not inspect to Lowry’s approval, so he has to ask him to do it again, but with authority this time.

And just like that, the rim is level and the game continued. This movie should be up for an Oscar where Kyle Lowry wins Best Leading Actor for saving an entire basketball rim on his own.
