The New York Knicks have fired head coach Jeff Hornacek, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. According to Wojnarowski, Knicks’ management told Hornacek of their decision when the team returned to New York after their win over Cleveland in the season finale on Wednesday.

A few potential replacements for Hornacek, according to Wojnarowski, are former Grizzlies coach David Fizdale, former Cavaliers coach David Blatt, and former Warriors coach Mark Jackson.

In two seasons as coach, Hornacek led the Knicks to a 60-104 record. New York finished 28-53 this season, marking the franchise’s fourth consecutive losing season and third with at least 50 losses.

The Knicks hired Hornacek two summers ago when Phil Jackson was running the show as president of basketball operations. Hornacek coached the Knicks to a 31-51 record in Year 1 during a season mired in controversy. New York then traded Carmelo Anthony to the Thunder and drafted rookie Frank Ntilikina with the No. 8 pick ahead of both Dennis Smith Jr. and Donovan Mitchell. The Knicks then parted ways with Jackson last summer.

Prior to taking the Knicks’ job, Hornacek coached the Phoenix Suns for two-and-a-half seasons before he was fired midway through the 2015-16 season.
