Pelicans-Trail Blazers Game 4 could spell the end for Portland’s postseason run, and players are treating it with that type of intensity. In the opening half, three skirmishes saw Rajon Rondo headbutt Zach Collins, E’Twaun Moore scuffle with C.J. McCollum, and Anthony Davis and Ed Davis feud.

As a direct follow-up to the chaos that was Sixers-Heat Game 4, NBA Saturday has felt more like a Sunday WWE pay-per-view. The Pelicans and Blazers combined for five technical fouls in the opening 24 minutes, and a flagrant foul too.

After soaring in and snatching a rebound away from Jrue Holiday, Zach Collins got a bump from Rajon Rondo, who slapped the ball out of his hands. The rookie didn’t appreciate that, and tried to get in his face.

Somewhat impressively, despite standing a foot shorter, Rondo headbutted him back as the two exchanged words.

They were both given technical fouls.

Anthony Davis and Ed Davis trash talk

After Anthony Davis went backdoor and dunked over Collins, he and Ed Davis exchanged words.

That resulted in yet another pair of techs.

The opening round of the NBA playoffs has been intense, and everyone’s let their emotions out. It’s wild to think that there’s another month and a half of play to go.
