LeBron James’ buzzer-beater over the Pacers is eerily similar to this Michael Jordan game-winner

This is wild.

LeBron James hit an unbelievable three-point shot, fading to his left, to beat the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series. His coach Ty Lue thinks it’s similar to the famous one Michael Jordan hit against the Cavaliers in 1989.

“I think that LeBron shot might have been like Jordan’s shot over Craig Ehlo in Cleveland,” Lue said. “Same play.”

Let’s see:

Jordan’s shot may have been a two, not a three, and he also double-clutched unlike James, but there are a lot of eerie similarities here too.

Both of these shots came in the first round of the playoffs with the series tied. Both shots also put the players’ final totals at 44 points. James wears No. 23 ... just like Jordan. If that isn’t freaky enough for you, check the box scores to see a Larry Nance (Jr. and Sr.) in either game.

It might be a little strange for Lue to talk about a game-winning shot against the team he currently coaches, but he wasn’t wrong. Add this to the James-Jordan comparisons file.
