Giannis Antetokounmpo’s euro-steps are getting out of control

The Greek Freak just made someone fall with a euro-step, and he didn’t even touch him. This is getting unfair, y’all.

Imagine one of the league’s most dynamic players is dribbling downhill with a head full of steam directly at you. Now imagine that player is Giannis Antetokounmpo — also known as The Greek Freak — a seven-foot phenom who plays like a guard with a center’s length.

Antetokounmpo showed just how unguardable he is in transition in the third quarter of Bucks vs. Celtics Game 6 when he basically started his move at the three-point line. He hit Semi Ojeleye with an in-and-out dribble then euro-stepped right over for the gorgeous finish. Poor Ojeleye’s legs had no choice but to give out beneath him.

This just isn’t fair

Sure, Antetokounmpo can’t really shoot the ball very well, but when you can make someone fall with a euro-step, do you really need jump shots in the first place?

Antetokounmpo broke down his euro-step attack in 2016. He assesses the defender, and if they commit to one direction, he brings it back the other way.

And damn, he’s had some good ones. Remember that euro-step tomahawk he had against the Wizards?

He’s dunked off a euro-step more than once, like this time when he stepped right around Russell Westbrook before posterizing Serge Ibaka:

And how about this one, where he absolutely turned Jeff Green around with a vicious side-step through traffic:

James Harden has been known as the king of the euro for quite some time, but Giannis covers much more ground with his move. Antetokounmpo is a beast in the open court. Look out, James, there might be a new king to crown.
