What a game and series for the Celtics and Sixers. If this was the beginning of a long rivalry to come, NBA fans are in for a treat. In a series that was missing huge stars on Boston’s side, and a young and fun Sixers team, it still showed the future of a wonderful matchup for years to come.

Joel Embiid’s final possession may be one that haunts him for a while. He got the post position he wanted to tie this game and couldn’t do it. This should give him plenty of motivation for the summer.
Rookie Jayson Tatum was a huge force in this series for the Celtics. He finished the game with 25 points, while sophomore Jaylen Brown but in his own 24 points. The Celtics are a young team that plays like a bunch of veterans. Now they’re headed to face LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals for the second year in a row.
Celtics 114, Sixers 112 - Final
Joel Embiid had a chance to tie the game at 111. He came into the game without his mask on for what should have been a final possession. They got the ball into him on the block but he was unable to convert, with the ball going out of bounds on the Sixers.
After a foul, J.J. Redick made a three-pointer to bring the game to 113-112, but ultimately the Celtics hit their free throws ending this.
The Celtics will head to the Eastern Conference Finals to face the Cavaliers on Sunday.

Philly had a four-point lead early in the 4th quarter but the Celtics have bounced back. Both teams are in the penalty for the rest of the way and will shoot free throws on each foul. Buckle up.
Celtics 83, Sixers 82 - End of 3Q
A furious end to the third quarter has brought Philly back into this. 11-points from Joel Embiid and a ridiculous three-pointer from J.J. Redick has them right back in this.
Celtics 72, Sixers 63 - 6:04 3Q
The Sixers had an opportunity to get this down to four on a J.J. Redick three-pointer but he missed and then Jaylen Brown came down the court and hit his own three-pointer. This is starting to feel out of hand for the Sixers and Joel Embiid just got a technical foul.

A 19-6 run by the Celtics to end the half. Jayson Tatum leads the way with 14 points for Boston while Joel Embiid has 12 for Philly.

The 76ers had their back against the wall but punched back in Game 4 to avoid a second round sweep with a 103-92 win at home against the Celtics. It was a tough game that featured some jostling back and forth between Joel Embiid and Terry Rozier, but Philly survived against a tough defensive team and will live to see another day in this playoff series.
T.J. McConnell got his first career start and set a new career-high with 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting, and Dario Saric led all scorers with 25 points. Embiid was able to get the Celtics into foul trouble, and even though he had just 15 points, Philly outscored Boston by 22 with its all-star big man on the floor.
McConnell changed the game for the Sixers with his hustle and grit and will surely get the game ball after Philly’s Game 4 win.
