Aaron Gordon has agreed to a four-year contract worth $84 million to stay with the Orlando Magic, per Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania. The 22-year-old didn’t receive the maximum five-year deal he could have, but he’ll still see a huge first big payout.

Gordon had a much improved fourth season after struggling out of the gates. Finding his range, the forward shot 34 percent from deep, the first time he’d been over 30 percent in his career. He averaged 18 points and eight rebounds for a team that lacked direction. But maybe the Magic going somewhere now after drafting the longest wingspan in the league, Mo Bamba with the No. 6 pick in this year’s draft.

Gordon was a restricted free agent, meaning he could’ve shopped around for a better offer that Orlando could have matched, but he opted to re-sign where he was. Maybe there were no other offers on the table. There were rumors that the Lakers had interest in him, but that died down after they agreed to terms with LeBron James.
