LeBron James turned back the clock for classic dunk through Clippers defense

LeBron James dunked on the Clippers like he’s not 39 years old

LeBron James was already the oldest player in the NBA this season even before he turned 39 years old at the end of Dec. James is somehow still playing at an All-NBA level for the Los Angeles Lakers, and every once in a while he gives us an emphatic reminder that he’s still one of the best athletes in the world.

The Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers met on Sunday night, and James turned back the clock for a ferocious dunk early the third quarter. James pushed the ball in transition and launched himself from outside of the dotted line through traffic for the slam. How is this guy 39 years old?

The Lakers have been a tailspin as of late, losing nine of their last 12 games. Somehow, James is still playing like a top-10 player in the league, Anthony Davis is having a dominant two-way season, and the team is still two games under .500 coming into the Clippers game.

Can the Lakers make a move to save their season? LeBron is still playing at such a high level — he can still be the best player on a championship team. Darvin Ham might be out of buttons to push to improve this offseason — it’s possible only a trade is doing that. The Lakers are so, so fortunate that LeBron is still this good, and they can’t let it go to waste.
