The Golden State Warriors have devolved back to being a .500 team after their hot start to begin this season. It feels like the team needs a bold move at the trade deadline if they’re ever going to compete for another championship around Stephen Curry — who is constantly reminding us of his sustained brilliance. Curry was sensational down the stretch in the Warriors’ close loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas day, and he’s off to another good game against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.

It’s always cinema when Curry takes on former teammate Kevin Durant. That proved to be the case again on Saturday when Curry split three defenders with a behind the back dribble and hit an incredible sideways floater as the first half buzzer sounded. Watch the play here:
How did Curry get around three Phoenix defenders — including KD — so easily? He’s never been been the biggest or most athletic guard, but Curry’s legendary run has also been about so much more than just shooting. He’s on the short list of the greatest offensive players of all-time because he’s incredibly well-rounded.
Curry’s shooting touch isn’t just about all the threes he makes, either. This is an impossible shot for almost anyone else, but for Steph it’s nothing but net.
The Warriors better do something to improve the roster soon, because Curry deserves one more shot at title No. 5.
