Iowa Facing NCAA Violations Thanks To Ashton Kutcher And Demi Moore

The Iowa basketball team hasn’t had much to sell to recruits of late. But Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore trying to rectify that has only earned the Hawkeyes a few NCAA violations.

↵The Des Moines Register reports that Iowa has admitted to NCAA violations stemming from Kutcher and Moore’s presence at an Iowa football game in September. Reportedly, coaches permitted high school recruits to meet with Kutcher, Moore, and several former Hawkeye basketball players. That would be an NCAA violation if true, because recruits are not permitted to be in contact with individuals considered to represent a university’s athletic interests.

↵It would also be hysterical. Not only was news of the contact reported in multiple news outlets, but Iowa coaches thought Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore would be recruiting tools, which is kind of mind-blowing. Is it 2004 again? Why did no one tell me?
