Georgetown started off the game with six unanswered points, the first half coming from a corner three by Chris Wright, and the second half from an and-one play from Julian Vaughn. Memphis didn't stay down for long, starting the game off with a three-pointer of their own by Will Barton followed by two quick free throws.
Georgetown Vs. Memphis: Fast-Paced And Foul-Laced
The game has a halted feel about it, and it seems as though fouls are getting called left and right. The free throws and lane penetration are keeping Memphis in the game, as they have gone 4-4 from the line and appear to be driving the lane at will. WIth 13:22 left to play in the first half, Georgetown took a timeout when Memphis took the lead for the first time.
