Syracuse Orange basketball lost two straight games coming into tonight’s matchup against the Seton Hall Pirates, but both were to top-10 teams. After falling to Pitt and Villanova, at least Cuse still had a top-10 ranking of its own, and at least it could bounce back at home against Seton Hall. Whoops!
Seton Hall Vs. Syracuse Final Score: Orange Basketball Officially In Tailspin After 90-68 Upset
The Pirates had ideas of their own, emphatically beating Syracuse 90-68. How big of an upset was this? Seton Hall still doesn’t have a winning record even after the win.
Seton Hall guard Jeremy Hazell went nuts for 28 points and nine rebounds, a game high in points and the second-most boards of any player behind Syracuse’s Rick Jackson. Five Pirates mustered double figures, with the team shooting well over 50 percent on the day. Syracuse shot only 36 percent, and there’s your ball game.
Cuse has to get it right against Marquette, while Seton Hall gets Providence at home.
