Michigan State basketball guard Korie Lucious has been dismissed due to “conduct detrimental to the team.” According to Lucious’ mother, the suspended Spartan star will seek a transfer. SpartanNation.com conducted the interview with Lucious’ mother, Latonia Guider, and included this statement
Korie Lucious Will Transfer From Michigan State, According To Mother
“I love my son dearly. We certainly didn’t want his career at MSU to end this way, but we thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts. Korie will finish the semester at Michigan State and Coach Izzo has said he will help Korie find a new school. We are grateful to God for Coach Izzo and Michigan State. My son has admitted he made mistakes. I ask that people remember him and judge him not just by mistakes, but by the man I believe him to be, and that he will grow into.”
The news of Lucious’ transfer has yet to be confirmed with the University or Coach Tom Izzo. If Lucious does end up transferring, it will be a sad end to his career with MSU, a career that included a spectacular tournament run last year, when he stepped in for an injured Kalin Lucas and led the team to a Final Four.
