VIDEO: Peyton Siva’s Game-Winning Layup Vs. West Virginia

The play of the night so far: Louisville Cardinals guard Peyton Siva’s crossover, driving layup to put the Cards up on the West Virginia Mountaineers with seconds to go. The game had been tight throughout, with Louisville narrowly avoiding the upset thanks to Siva’s clutch play:

The Cardinals survived a half-court lob shortly after by WVU guard Dalton Pepper, and the home win was preserved. Rick Pitino looks as delighted as ever at the end of the game, doesn’t he?

The five-foot-11 guard from Seattle led Louisville’s small lineup (all guards on the floor at the time) at the end, and did a little bit of everything for the other 47.9 minutes. He finished with 14 points, three boards, three assists, and two steals.

Chris Smith and Preston Knowles also went into double figures for the Cardinals, with Joe Mazzulla and Pepper doing so for the Mountaineers.
