Duke escaped with a win over Belmont Friday night at Cameron Indoor, but got all it could handle from the Bruins. The Blue Devils could never quite pull away as they made runs only to see Belmont answer, keeping the score relatively close throughout. And the score was in doubt until the final minute.

Duke escaped with the win on Friday night, holding off Belmont at Cameron Indoor, 77-76.
A late flurry by the Bruins wasn’t enough as Duke hung on tight for a 77-76 win. The win was Mike Krzyzewski’s 901st, putting him one away from tying Bobby Knight’s division one record.
Seth Curry and Austin Rivers each scored a game-high 16 points in the win. Mason Plumlee added 13, Ryan Kelly chipped in 12 and Tyler Thornton scored 10 points off the bench. Plumlee finished with a game-high 14 rebounds for the Blue Devils.
Kerron Johnson led the Bruins with 15 points in the loss. Ian Clark scored 13 points, with Drew Halen adding 12. J.J. Mann and Mick Hedgepath were each in double-figures off the bench, scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively.
