North Carolina Dominates UNC-Asheville For Second Win

The North Carolina Tar Heels easily defeated the Michigan State Spartans while being significantly trounced on the boards, so it should come as no surprise that they were able to dominate the UNC-Asheville Bulldogs for their second win of the season. Roy Williams' team took down their in-state foes by a final score of 91-75, as Tyler Zeller led all scorers with 27 points.

UNC-Asheville kept the score reasonably close in the first half before the Tar Heels went on a late run. With 1:57 remaining in the first half, the Bulldogs trailed by just two points. At that point, Zeller and Kendall Marshall took over as North Carolina scored 10 points in under two minutes to extend their lead to nine. At halftime, the score was 48-39 in favor of the Heels.

North Carolina continued that momentum into the second half, never letting UNC-Asheville get back within single digits after Zeller made the first basket of the period. Marshall finished the game with an impressive 15 assists, while John Henson racked up a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Harrison Barnes had a good night as well, shooting 6-10 from the floor and 5-8 from the free-throw line to score 17 points. UNC-A's leading scorer was J.P. Primm, with 23 points.
