FIU pulled an upset of George Mason to get to this game, a win witch was probably the biggest of the Isiah Thomas era. The winner gets a trip to Madison Square Garden for the preseason NIT semifinals. That winner will be Virginia Tech. By 21.
6:10 - 12-2 Tech lead early on. Isiah’s got blank Isiah face going earlier than usual.
6:24 - Credit FIU for surviving the first five minutes here. It’s 16-10 Tech about midway through the first half and the Golden Panthers are competing.
