Tony Mitchell scored a game-high 17 points and the Alabama Crimson Tide defense was stifling in a 62-42 win over Maryland on Thursday night in Puerto Rico. The Terrapins were held to just 26.5 percent shooting on the night, including 16.7 percent from beyond the arc, as the Alabama defense clamped down throughout.

The Maryland Terrapins were never able to get into an offensive rhythm as the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled to a 62-42 win on Thursday night.
Mitchell finished with a double-double on the night, adding a game-high 11 rebounds to go with his 17 points. Trevor Releford was also in double-figures, scoring 10 points in the win.
Maryland finished the game without a scorer in double-figures, though James Padgett got close. The Maryland starters accounted for just 25 points, combining to make seven baskets in the loss. Padgett finished with a team-high nine points to pace the Terps. Ashton Pankey grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds for Maryland, as well.
