The Texas A&M Aggies got all they could handle from St. John's on Friday night at Madison Square Garden, but survived to come away with a one-point win, 58-57. Elston Turner hit the go-ahead bucket with eight seconds to go and the Aggies somehow escaped despite sending Nurideen Lindsey to the line with two seconds to go. The St. John's guard missed both his free throws, losing out on an opportunity to tie or give the Red Storm the win as Texas A&M hung on for dear life.
