Mark up an early upset victory for the Presbyterian Blue Hose after defeating the No. 20 Cincinnati Bearcats, 56-54, on Saturday afternoon. Khalid Mutakabbir scored 25 points for the Blue Hose on 11-of-15 shooting, including three three-pointers on five attempts. Al'Lonzo Coleman added a double-double for Presbyterian by scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 boards. However, Coleman did have five of the team's 11 turnovers.

For the Bearcats, it wasn't a banner day shooting. While the Blue Hose hit 45.7 percent of their shots, the Bearcats were able to make just 35.5 percent of their attempts. Sean Kilpatrick and Yancy Gates scored 19 points and 17 points, respectively, but the team's three-player bench added zero points. Dion Dixon grabbed 10 boards to help the Bearcats to a 34-27 advantage on the boards.

Bearcats fans already were having a bad weekend with a 20-3 loss for the football team and this just made it worse. The basketball team looks to get back on track with a Monday against the Northwestern State Demons.
