Reeves Nelson, in his first game back from a team suspension, scored just a single point but added five boards, a steal and a block in 11 minutes of the bench.
Lee Bailey led Chaminade with 16 points and three assists.
The Bruins improved to 1-2 on the season, and will face the winner of the Kansas-Georgetown game in the next round. Chaminade fell to 3-1.
