Despite starting slow, California dominated Georgia in Monday's semifinal of the College Basketball Experience Classic in Kansas City, winning the game 70-46. Cal's Harper Kamp led all scorers with 16 points, with teammate Jorge Gutierrez chipping in 14 points and seven boards.

Georgia was thinking upset in the first half, taking a 25-22 lead several minutes before the break. But that’s when Cal ripped off 14 straight points, regaining the lead for good and entering halftime with a 36-25 lead. The Golden Bears all but sealed the game early in the second half with another 14-0 run, extending a 39-29 lead to 53-29.
The Bulldogs had only a single player crack double-digits, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scoring 10 points. Nemanja Djurisic added nine points, while Marcus Thornton grabbed a team-high seven boards. As a team, Georgia shot just 33.3 percent.
