2013 Five-Star Point Guard Nate Britt Commits To UNC

Though many experts had predicted it for some time now, Gonzaga (D.C.) 2013 point guard Nate Britt announced Tuesday night at a pep rally that he has committed to the University of North Carolina to play with Roy Williams, giving the Heels an über-talented point guard ready to step up in Chapel Hill after Kendall Marshall moves on.

Comments from Britt are after the jump

“It was like a dream come true that I could have the opportunity to go there,” Britt said of UNC’s initial scholarship offer. “From that point on it was about me looking at the school and making sure it was the right fit for me.”

Britt is 6-foot-1, 165 pounds and his game is predicated on quickness and a devastating crossover. While he’s adept at finding his teammates, he has an incredible knack for finishing around the rim amidst the trees despite lacking elite athleticism. If he can grow a couple more inches, he’s got NBA-level talent. ESPN has him as the 15th-ranked player in 2013. He was also considering Maryland, Arizona, Georgetown and Duke, among others.
