Kentucky is playing its first true road game of the year at Indiana on this Saturday, and that rare situation for the No. 1 Wildcats has also produced a rare deficit: the Hoosiers lead Kentucky, 30-29, at the half. And it could have been worse for the Wildcats.
Kentucky Vs. Indiana Halftime Score: Hoosies Hold One-Point Lead, 30-29
Kentucky’s got better talent, but the Wildcats are down by one point against the Hoosiers on the road.
The Hoosiers rode Cody Zeller (nine points) and Victor Oladipo (eight points) in the first half, and ran out to a 30-22 lead that had the Assembly Hall crowd at fever pitch. But Kentucky reeled off the final seven points of the half to reel in Indiana, and the Wildcats' superior talent may be able to play more in the second half: Anthony Davis, Kentucky's fearsome shot-blocker, went to the bench midway through the first half with two fouls.
Kentucky wings Doron Lamb and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led Kentucky in the first half. Lamb had 11 points to lead all scorers, while six of Kidd-Gilchrist's 10 points came in a personal 6-0 run.
