The Rutgers Scarlet Knights were able to take down the Florida Gators in double overtime, 85-83. The Gators took an early lead and held it into halftime, leading Rutgers 34-30, but the Scarlet Knights rallied back in the second half to force overtime. Rutgers guard Eli Carter sank 31 points points in the game, sparking the Scarlet Knights in the second half. Carter also had seven rebounds and seven assists in the game.

The Florida Gators went down to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in double overtime in New Jersey.
The Gators held the lead in the first overtime period 76-72 with under 30 seconds left in the game and looked like they might escape with the win, but with just 22 seconds left Eli Carter sank a three pointer to tie the game and send it into double overtime after Dane Miller stole the ball from Bradley Beal.
In the second overtime period, Rutgers took the early lead and was able to hold it for much of the period. Miles Mack sank the game sealing three point shot thanks to an assist by Carter to win the game for Rutgers in double overtime.
