The Crimson hung around, heading into the half down only two to the Huskies, 30-28. But in the end, Harvard was unable to run with UConn as the Huskies pulled away down the stretch, outscoring the Crimson by 12 in the second half.
Jeremy Lamb put together a strong performance, as always, scoring a game-high 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds for the Huskies. Highly-touted freshman Andre Drummond put up 12 points, connecting on six-of-seven shots. Ryan Boatright came off the bench to add 11 points for UConn.
It was a balanced scoring effort for Harvard, with Kyle Casey scoring a team-high 12 points. Casey was the only Harvard player in double-figures, though Keith Wright did add nine points and five rebounds. Christian Webber added eight points and Laurent Rivard came off the bench to score six points.
