When we last left Billy Packer, he was busy cementing his legacy as the worst announcer in the history of college basketball. He’s since retired, of course. So, what’s he up to these days?
Billy Packer Doesn’t Like All These March Madness Games On TV
↵Complaining about the greatest news ever, naturally. You might think it’d be impossible to complain about every NCAA Tournament game being available to college hoops fans this March, but damnit, Billy Packer watches TruTV! As he tells USA Today:
↵
↵Packer says he likes watching truTV, one of the Turner channels carrying NCAA games. "And people who watch it aren't going to be happy they're missing their cops and robbers shows. If truTV viewers liked basketball, they'd already be watching ESPN."
↵"Has all this been changed for the .01% of viewers who really want a specific game?"
↵
↵
Did he seriously just complain that truTV might have to bump an episode of Unsolved Mysteries to show college basketball? ... He did, didn't he? In the name of God and/or Gus Johnson, let's all take a moment to give thanks that this man is no longer college basketball.
