Tim Floyd’s UTEP team lost to East Carolina Wednesday night, and on its own, that’s not really that interesting. But damnit, it was more entertaining that it sounds, as the refs gave out five technical fouls, ejected two coaches, and at one point, the cops had to get involved.

Things get fun at the 90-second mark:
"I've always earned my technicals," Floyd lamented afterward. "And I didn't feel like I earned it." But even if he didn't earn it initially, I think we can all agree he made up for it in the aftermath. Which is great. If you're going to get thrown out, that's the way to do it.
Don’t go quietly; get quietly dragged away by police. Because as the old saying goes, anytime a coach can reminds us of the great Pete Bell in Blue Chips, that’s a coach that America will support. It’s just a shame he couldn’t have punted a basketball on his way out.
