Texas forward Tristan Thompson may have had an exceptional freshman season for Texas, but that doesn’t mean his days in Austin are done just yet. Today, according to Yahoo!‘s Jason King, Thompson told a group of reporters he will be forgoing the 2011 NBA Draft to return to Texas.

He’s been especially good in Texas’ stretch run, though the Longhorns have struggled: Thompson has six double-doubles in his last eight games, and scored a career-high 26 points against Kansas State on Feb. 28.
