VCU took a 36-31 halftime lead into the locker room against Florida State Friday night. However, Shaka Smart’s club surrendered 16 offensive rebounds to the Seminoles. That trend continued in the second half where Florida State hold a commanding rebounding lead, which is a big reason why they’re still in the game late.
Florida State Out-Rebounding VCU By Any Means Necessary
The Seminoles are the big, bad power conference team so they should be able to out-athlete and out-muscle the mid-major start-up. Of course, as your mother told you, just because you can push people around doesn’t mean you should. At least not this obviously (via BubbaProg).
Florida State remains in this game despite shooting 35% from the field. If they’re going to pull this game out, they might just need to take it to the next level. Look out, first three rows, VCU players might start flying in your general direction.
