As it seems to every year, the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament has snuck up on us. Saturday’s two games are chock-full of narrative. Here’s the TV schedule, as well as some historical context.

SOUTHEAST REGIONAL FINAL
Who: 2-seed Florida vs. 8-seed Butler.
When: 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
Broadcast: CBS. Announcers are Gus Johnson and Len Elmore.
Recent history: A year ago, Butler was about two inches away from winning one of the most memorable games in NCAA Tournament history, and for the second consecutive year, they’re far better than their seed would indicate. The Gators, meanwhile, are marching through the bracket after not having won an NCAA Tournament game since their 2007 championship.

WEST REGIONAL FINAL
Who: 3-seed Connecticut vs. 5-seed Arizona.
When: 7:05 p.m. Eastern.
Broadcast: CBS. Announcers are Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery.
Recent history: In his 25th season as UConn’s head coach, Jim Calhoun is looking for his third NCAA Tournament title. The Wildcats are looking to reach their first Final Four since their 1997 championship.
