Chris Mooney, Richmond Basketball Agree To 10-Year Contract Extension

Mooney led the Spiders to a 29-8 record, including the school’s first-ever Atlantic 10 championship and the programs’ second-ever NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance. This was also just the second time the Spiders have appeared in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments. Richmond’s 29 wins this season was a school record, eclipsing the 26 victories last season that tied a school record and vaulted the Spiders to a No. 24 final national ranking in the AP Poll.

Mooney’s six-year record at Richmond is 112-87 (.563), including 55-17 the past two seasons (.764). Richmond returns 12 players for next season.
