Perry Jones III Suspended For Wednesday Night’s Baylor-Oklahoma Big 12 Tournament Game
Perry Jones III could face a very long suspension, if not dismissal from school for accepting impermissible benefits, but as of right now, what we do know is that the Baylor Bears big man will miss at least Wednesday night’s Big 12 Tournament clash with the Oklahoma Sooners. The Big 12 Conference reported that Jones had been declared ineligible on their official twitter account.

Freshman big man Jones has been Baylor’s second-leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 13.9 points and 7.2 boards per game. He’s yet to miss a game this season, playing almost 34 minutes every night. In two meetings against the Sooners, he’s averaged 22 points and seven rebounds.
As an unlikely NCAA Tournament selection, Baylor would have to make serious Big 12 noise to continue its postseason. Without Jones on board, that would be a far greater challenge.
