Though VCU basketball is new at this whole succeeding-at-basketball thing, the program’s fans operated like old pros last night. Shortly after the school’s Final Four run ended at the hands of tyrannic basketball empire Butler, “thousands of rowdy fans” took to the streets of Richmond, and that report contains terms like riot gear, bandanas, police helicopters, tear gas, torching trash cans, police horses, and tossing firecrackers. C-A-A!

VCU, congratulations. I don’t know whether to call this a riot or a party, but when the police show up with shields, I do believe you’ve earned the upgrade distinction.
