This was bound to happen at some point, and it didn’t take long. Just a day after the Georgetown basketball team brawled with its opponent, the Bayi Rockets, during a friendship game in China, the incident was given the full Taiwan animation treatment by NMA World Edition. These are the same folks who put together off-the-wall animations for the Tiger Woods scandal and many other memorable sports moments recently.
VIDEO: Georgetown Basketball Brawl In China Gets Taiwan Animation Treatment
H/T TNIAAM
The video involves, among other things: Pandas throwing water bottles, a corrupt referee who enjoys gyration, a fire-breathing Chinese player involved in an argument with John Thompson III, and a samurai fighting a masked wrestler. Sound awesome? Of course it does.
There are few things better than Pandas and Hoyas beating each other with chairs while a coach, holding a Starbucks cup, watches on in horror. Yet it gets better moments later as a Georgetown player is hit with what appears to be a recliner.
To recap: We’ve now seen the first fight video, a second angle of the fight, a Kung Fu Hoyas parody and the Taiwan animation. If there was any question, the animation wins the day.
