Playing at home against Texas A&M for the last time as Big 12 opponents, the No. 5 MIssouri Tigers gave the Aggies all they could handle and much, much more, running away early in the game and winning 70-51.
No. 5 Missouri vs. Texas A&M: Tigers Cruise Past Aggies
The No. 5 Missouri Tigers used a 14-0 run late in the first half to put away Texas A&M in a matchup of two future SEC teams.
Led by Michael Dixon, who would later foul out, with 18 points and five rebounds, the Tigers led 42-23 at halftime despite being tied at 17-all with just more than six minutes to go. Dixon scored 13 points in the 25-6 run, and the Aggies wouldn't threaten again. 6-foot-three-inch senior Marcus Denmon also chipped in 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Elston Turner and Khris Middleton led A&M with 13 points apiece, but 15 turnovers and a -13 rebounding differential were too much to overcome. The Aggies fell to 10-7 (1-4) while the Tigers have still lost just one game, and are 17-1 (4-1).
