The UNLV Runnin' Rebels trailed the Air Force Falcons at halftime 34-33 and needed to late rally in the second half to send the game into overtime. In the overtime period, Oscar Bellfield hit a big three-point shot for the Rebels to push their lead to 64-61, but the Falcons just couldn't catch back up before time expired giving UNLV their fourth Mountain West Conference victory of the season. Bellfield ended the night with just 15 points, but he shot 3 of 6 from three-point range, including the go-ahead shot in overtime. Forward Mike Moser carried the load for UNLV however, picking up 27 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.

For the Falcons, guard Michael Lyons picked up 25 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals but Air Force just couldn't sink their shots in the overtime period to push the game into double overtime.
