Not quite the delightful slate of games we were privy to an evening ago, but still more than enough quality to get the job done.
No. 16 Michigan Heads To Bloomington To Face No. 12 Indiana
A Big Ten battle between Indiana and Michigan is Thursday night’s marquee matchup.

Also, a quick note: I’m not listing games being “televised on ESPN3” because despite what a certain network wants you to believe, ESPN3 is not a television channel. If we’re going to include Internet streams then we’re going to need a blurb on every Division-I game (and several other division games) every day. No one wants that.
Pittsburgh at DePaul (7:00/ESPN2)
I can’t recall a time when the Panthers were this desperate for a victory. They’re currently riding just the third three-game losing streak of the Jamie Dixon era.
George Mason at Old Dominion (7:00/Comcast/CSN)
Mason Nation has been - along with VCU - the premier program in one of the premier mid-major conferences for the past decade, but the Patriots still haven’t managed to win at ODU in their last seven tries.
Purdue at Penn State (8:00/Big Ten Network)
Big ten road games are never easy (unless you’re Iowa, apparently) but the Boilermakers should have little trouble moving to 3-0 in league play. If you don’t watch this, I’m not going to judge.
South Florida at Villanova (8:00/MASN)
The Wildcats suddenly find themselves in the unfamiliar position of being one of the five Big East teams still without a conference win.
Saint Mary’s at San Diego (9:00/ESPNU)
Saint Mary’s is rolling over teams right now, and tonight shouldn’t be an exception. The Torreros were just pummeled by BYU on the road, 88-52.
Michigan at Indiana (9:00/ESPN2)
Easily the evening’s most intriguing matchup. The 12th-ranked Hoosiers and 16th-ranked Wolverines are a combined 25-3 and both right in the middle of successful rebounding efforts. It’s the first time the two teams will meet with both nationally ranked since Jan. 21, 1997.
Stanford at Oregon (9:00/CSS/CSN)
Stanford opponents are averaging 56.5 points, which ranks the Cardinal second in the Pac-12 and 15th in the nation in scoring defense. In a 12-2 start to the season, Stanford has held 10 of its opponents to fewer than 60 points. Not great news for an Oregon squad that is 7-0 when scoring 70 or more points but just 3-4 when held below that mark.
Arizona at UCLA (11:00/FSN)
Ah, the 11:00 Pac-12 game on Fox Sports Net. Just like the ugly girl who stays at the bar too late, you’re always there and I always regret it in the morning.
