Syracuse is the No. 1 team in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Top 25 polls for the fifth straight week. The undefeated Orange garnered all but one of the 31 first-place votes cast by the coaches, and 60 of the 65 No. 1 nods from the AP.
NCAA Basketball Rankings: Indiana Earns First Top Ten Ranking Since 2008
The Syracuse Orange are the No. 1 team in both sets of major national rankings for the fifth straight week.
Kentucky, which received the other six first-place votes, was No. 2 in both polls, while North Carolina, Baylor and Ohio State rounded out each top five.
Thanks to several losses by teams ranked in front of it last week, Indiana earned its first top ten ranking since 2008. The once-beaten Hoosiers jumped five spots in the AP poll to No. 7, and four spots in the coaches’ poll to No. 8.
