The No. 25 Vanderbilt Commodores visited the Arkansas Razorbacks on Tuesday night. Vanderbilt was hoping to pick up another win in SEC play to help justify their positioning in the national Top 25, but they came up short, taking the 82-74 loss. With the loss, Vanderbilt falls to 16-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play. They are likely to fall out of the next AP poll as a result. Arkansas is now also 16-6 overall, but are 4-3 in the SEC.

The Commodores held a very slim 34-32 lead heading into halftime, but in the second half the Razorbacks outscored Vanderbilt by 10 while exploding for 50 points.

John Jenkins of Vanderbilt led all scorers with 19 points, adding five rebounds and an assist. Jeffery Taylor contributed 18 points for the Commodores.

On the Arkansas side, Rickey Scott was the leading scorer with 18 points, while Julysses Nobles put up 17.

Vanderbilt's next game will be on Saturday, February 4 as they visit the No. 12 Florida Gators. A win there might put them back in the Top 25 argument. Arkansas will also play on Saturday, as they visit the LSU Tigers.
