No. 1 Kentucky Vs. Tennessee: Top-Ranked Wildcats Cruise To Victory

Kentucky is still undefeated in the SEC after an easy win over Tennessee on Tuesday night.

The Tennessee Volunteers are a team very much in rebuilding mode in the post-Bruce Pearl era, while the Kentucky Wildcats have looked very much like the No. 1 team in the country in the vast majority of their games. When the Vols traveled to Rupp Arena on Tuesday night, the result was predictable. Kentucky scored on their first possession and held the lead all the way through to the end, never giving their opponents a chance in their 69-44 victory.

Kentucky never really had to step on the gas in this one, attempting just 41 shots on the night. They made the most of those shots and their repeated trips to the free throw line, shooting 54 percent from the floor and 89 percent from the charity stripe. Kentucky's Anthony Davis led all scorers with 18 points, while Renaldo Woolridge's performance was one of Tennessee's only bright spots. The senior surprisingly added 17 points off the bench.
