No. 20 Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss: Bulldogs Cruise To 70-60 Win Over Rebels

No. 20 Mississippi State cruised to a 70-60 win over the Mississippi Rebels on Thursday night.

The 20th-ranked Mississippi St. Bulldogs got 18 points from junior forward Arnett Moultrie as they cruised to a 70-60 win over their in-state rival, the Mississippi Rebels.

The 6-foot-11 Moultrie was nine-of-14 from the floor and a had a team-high nine rebounds for the Bulldogs, who also got 15 points and 13 assists from guard Dee Bost. Forward Renardo Sidney had 14 points and guard Rodney Hood added ten as the Bulldogs improved to 19-5 overall and 6-3 within the SEC.

Mississippi State hosts the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.

Down 40-27 at the half, the Rebels outscored the Bulldogs 33-30 in the final 20 minutes, but could not erase the large deficit. Forward Reginald Buckner had 15 points and nine rebounds. Guard Jarvis Summers had 12 points and a team-high four assists while Jelan Kendrick added 11 points off the bench.

The loss means the Rebels are now 4-5 in the SEC and 14-9 overall. Ole Miss will host the Auburn Tigers on Saturday night.
