Alabama has suspended second-leading scorer Tony Mitchell for the remainder of the season, this according to a report by CBSSports.com’s Jeff Goodman.
Alabama Suspends Tony Mitchell For The Rest Of The Season
If Alabama makes the NCAA Tournament it will have to do so with the explosive Tony Mitchell, who has reportedly been suspended for the rest of the season.

Mitchell, who was averaging 13.1 points and 7.0 rebounds, had been suspended for the Crimson Tide’s last four games due to an unspecified violation of team rules. Alabama had gone 2-2 in his absence.
The good news for the Tide is that Anthony Grant has reportedly allowed JaMychal Green to return to practice. The team's leading scorer and rebounder had been suspended for the 'Bama's last three games.
Alabama currently sits squarely on the bubble with an overall record of 17-9 and an SEC mark of 6-6.
